The Kripalu Yoga Experience with Lela & Nick Beem
Cost: $30 advance/$35 door
Kripalu Yoga outlines three stages of practice. In Stage One, you focus on alignment and breathing techniques, and thereby learn how your body functions. Using this heightened awareness, in Stage Two you turn your attention inwards. With open, compassionate awareness, you attune to internal sensations and habitual patterns which are normally unconscious. You become familiar with energy, or prana, in its many forms. Finally, in Stage Three you release conscious control of the body and allow postures and movements to flow spontaneously. You become a Witness to the unfolding mystery.
In this workshop you will experience all three Stages of Kripalu Yoga. Nick and Lela work as a team to provide each student with adjustments and posture modifications appropriate for their physical situation. Come explore this unique branch of the yogic tradition, and take your practice beyond the postures.
