I began my healing career in 1984 at Jay Scherer’s Massage Academy in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This was a wonderful and spiritually changing experience for me and I was exposed to many different modes of healing. I went on to study Chinese Medicine, also in Santa Fe and since then have had the good fortune to study with many great acupuncturists, among them Stephen Birch, Kiiko Matsumoto and Richard Tan. I have also been able to continue studying body work including Structural Therapy and Cranial Sacral Therapy. I have been in private practice in Chicago for the last 17 years and am State and Nationally certified in acupuncture.

I love the blending of modalities. My treatments are a combination of gentle acupuncture, muscle release and cranial-sacral release. Seeing the patient and using the technique needed at that moment is the art of healing and I believe this combination gives my treatments potency. In the last five years, a large portion of my practice has been devoted to treating pain and injury, as well as immune system problems that manifest as fatigue, joint aches, digestive complaints, and other symptoms.

I believe everyone benefits from the balancing and nurturing that a healing treatment brings. It is an opportunity to strengthen our bodies and learn about ourselves and I look forward to sharing what I know of Chinese Medicine with you.
