Robin Goldstein
I was introduced to yoga in the 70's by my TM (Transcendental Meditation) teacher. I did yoga because I could - I was young, athletic and flexible. Totally didn't get it!
Two life changing events, first a serious accident in 1990 and the subsequent diagnosis of a possibly life-threatening, debilitating illness led me to delve into the study of yoga and a deeper yoga practice. The Universe led me to Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health where I received my teacher training and certification. I have been teaching yoga since 2000, and I continue to develop my skills through teacher training's, workshops and conferences, as well as my own daily yoga and meditation practice. In December of 2007, I received my 500-hr Professional Level Kripalu Yoga Teacher Certification.
My teaching style is an eclectic blend focusing on flow and breath, as well as integrating yoga philosophy ... a practice that allows one to make the connection of the mind, body and spirit. It is my hope that through my classes, students will learn to apply the principles and techniques of yoga both "on the mat" and "off the mat" (in daily life), and in doing so will be more fully alive and able to accept life's challenges and see these challenges as opportunities for growth.
