Ximena Prudencio
I initially discovered the wonder of body-mind disciplines for confronting the challenges I was having in my life: physically, mentally, and emotionally.
In my daily practice, as well as when leading class, I use yoga as a way to allow and maneuver the alignment of breath, body, mind and action. The methods of meditation, bodywork, martial arts and yoga, with which I have trained give foundation to my practice.
Through practice I have the sense that attention to our daily activities creates opportunity for each of us to witness Grace, unwavering and unconditional.
Ana Forrest and Rod Stryker have been great influences for me, and I am also a student of Rinzai Zen teacher Dogen Hosokawa Roshi. But I’ve been inspired by many: teachers, friends and life experiences of all flavors.
I have a full-time private practice in Integral Bodywork®, a method to free restriction and pain in the body-mind, increasing our awareness and transforming the way we live.
Prior to 1998, when I began formal training, I worked as a biologist, natural history educator and as an instructor for the National Outdoor Leadership School.
